BASIC GUN DOG TRAINING
In this part of training we teach the dog the basic skills required for its first hunt. Here your pup will learn here,heel,sit/stay, place, kennel, and to be steady. Obedience, Collar Conditioning, Force Fetched, Force To Pile, properly introduced to gun,water,decoys,birds. Training time is 4 to 6 months.
OBEDIENCE
Our behavior expert will support you in building your skills and working with your pet to help realize your goals.
DEER RECOVERY
Our program is based on scent training teaching your dog how to track wounded game and be a well obedient tool, through all types of terrain. Let us help you and your companion recover that trophy buck!
ADVANCED GUN DOG
In this phase of training we start introducing the dog to more difficult marks, doubles triples, and quads, casting and blind retrieves.
SHED HUNTING
This program can be done with all retriever breeds. It’s great for the deer hunter or just for a little fun on your downtime.
PUPPY HEADSTART/STARTED DOG

MATT EMERSON
Founder/Owner
Matt Emerson is the owner/head trainer of Flatline Retrievers. He has over 16 years of experience of training dogs. He has developed a gun dog program in that time that not only creates a highly trained dog, but also a great addition to any family. He also has several UKC titled dogs throughout the last several years. Matt's passion and love for these animals is second to none.
GARY HOLMES
Assistant Trainer
Gary Holmes is the Assistant Trainer for Flatline Retrievers. Gary has had gun dogs for over 10 years and is currently self training his own personal dog. Gary has a strong commitment to training each dog like they are his own and loves to see each dog progress into the dog they were meant to be.
